I’m not entirely sure which direction this blog is going to go. I am starting it as a journal for the activities that I do outdoors. This would include…
- Hunting – gun deer, archery deer, spring and fall turkey, ruffed grouse, ducks and geese
- Fishing – hard and soft water, ice fishing is mostly for panfish, maybe some walleyes if they cooperate. Summer fishing is mostly largemouth bass.
- Trapping – I am an avid fur trapper. I trap weasels, muskrats, raccoon, mink, red fox, and coyote. I also do nuisance animal removal during the off season.
- Camping – I don’t get to go as much as I would like. But when I do I really camp.
- Shooting Stuff – I just like to shoot guns. I have a small range set up at home so I can shoot pretty much whenever I want. I shot in my first trap league last summer and had a great time. I will probably do it again this summer. I also like to shoot my AR-15 and .45 acp. I just bought a new Savage Arms Mark II .22lr and put a BSA sweet .22 scope on it. That’s a fun gun to shoot as well.
- Gardening – I am a pretty serious gardener. Once spring rolls around I am sure I will include some info on the garden.
- Small Livestock – We have dairy goats and chickens. They can provide some interesting times for sure. I’m sure they will come up from time to time as well.
- That should keep me busy, but I’ll keep it open for anything that comes along!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Sounds like you keep yourself very busy! Love your photos, especially of your projects; they’re very inspirational. I hope to hear more about your gardening and about your dairy goats and hope your wife feels better. All the best to you and your family.
